A living map of the field

Data has layers.
AI has weather.

Trace the terrain from silicon to story. Follow one idea across the stack, switch professional lenses, or wander until two concepts unexpectedly connect.

Roles do not own topics; they change the route through them. Pick a lens for a seven-stop introduction, from foundations to outcomes.

    Unfolding the field atlas…

    A map, not the territory

“The useful question is not where a topic belongs. It is what the topic touches.”

This atlas favors durable concepts over products. Boundaries are intentionally porous, and the cross-links are an editorial seed set—not a claim that the field has only 36 relationships.

    How to read this map

    01

    The spine is singular

Every topic gets one primary home so the map stays navigable. Other relationships belong in cross-links, not duplicate branches.

    02

    Facets are lenses

Role, lifecycle stage, and maturity describe the primary learning context. They are useful filters, not ownership boundaries.

    03

    Concerns travel

Security, quality, reliability, governance, and operating practices recur from hardware through the human experience.

    04

    The edges will grow

The current cross-links are a reviewed seed set. The map becomes more valuable as prerequisites, alternatives, and enabling relationships are added.
